Group Offers Soldiers Aid By Turning Ohio Woods Into Zombie Feeding Grounds

March, 2008 ? Akron, Ohio ? Like a scene out of a George Romero movie, on May 23rd, NorthCoast Nero, a live action game group, in conjunction with Ogre LARP, will unleash zombies onto an unsuspecting group of innocents in an effort to have a fun way to play a game and help U.S. soldiers overseas in Iraq and Afghanistan.

"The game is a live action Zombie movie", says Mike Conley, president of NorthCoast Nero, "It is sort of like living a Horror Movie - you actually get out there and fight, with safe, foam-based weapons." Conley ? a veteran of the Gulf War ? came up with the idea out of his love for zombies and a civic responsibility to helping our soldiers overseas. "I think everyone loves a zombie movie and I thought this would be a good way to get families to come out and enjoy a night of horror, while helping out our men and women in the military. We are accepting donations for our soldiers, but we'd really like to see some people come out and BE our zombies."
